Mystical Treed Walkway

Strange to see so many tree trunks so tightly compacted as lining this walkway at Red Hill.

Art of Flowers

Flowers and trees add soul to the plainest landscape.

These flowers are at a park in Sorrento on the southern end of the Mornington Peninsula.

Weeping Green

I have always loved the weeping one.
This willow is at Sorrento on the southern end of the Mornington Peninsula.

There is something quite mystical about their presence in the landscape.

Kookaburra and the Art of Trees

Kookaburras seem to be drawn to the art of leafless, even dead trees.
Often I have found them nesting there.

Railway and Trees

Stony Point railway station is the last station on the short line to Frankston.
It is the only rail link on the Mornington Peninsula.
Love how the station is framed in trees and just to the left is the shoreline of Westernport Bay.

Tree and the Sea

A view of Westernport Bay from Stony Point.
Imagine the same view without the drama of the tree foliage.

Etching

Even dying trees can etch the beauty of their naked art on a landscape.
This photo was taken at Point Leo on Westernport Bay, Mornington Peninsula

Welcome to the Art of Trees and Plants

This blog is created to look at trees and plants in a different way from the usual botanical connections.
In fact, there will be many photos without names of plants simply because I don't know what they are.

Instead the photo aims to look at the beauty, the uniqueness, the art.

I have a passion for the art of rain drenched tree trunks - especially in a Spring flowering landscape.
